“ Got a recommendation from an old friend & it was a good one!!! Food was delicious. Got the combo platter with and extra 1/4 pound of lobster( fried which my wife and I have never had before) and it was great! Nice light crispy batter and the onion rings were perfect ( nice and thin). We went early and there was no crowd. We can imagine being a nice place for a big group. Great view of Boston skyline as well. On to the service: Donna was our waitress and she was fabulous. Very friendly and gave us a heads up that what we ordered would be enough for 2 people. And it was. We had a nice chat and met her daughter Julie as well ( she works there as well) . All in all a very nice experience for the wife and I. Will definitely be back. ”
“ Best seafood around ! Clams fish scallops are all top notch ! Oil is always super clean Portions are huge ! Prices are great ! Staff is friendly and attentive Only gripe is the clam chowder is watery! I like a creamy chowder It's worth the ride from anywhere ? You won't be disappointed! Right on the water with beautiful views of the ocean I travel over an hour frequently for this spot ! ”
“ Picturesque restaurant right on the water with friendly staff. Lobster sandwiches come with a generous portion of fresh-tasting meat. Just wish they had the option of serving it warmed up. Instead, you can get warmed butter on the side. Overall, decent experience here! ”
“ Wonderful experience on the inner coastal of Boston seaport. Right across the water from Logan airport. Great fresh seafood with really nice portions. Perfectly fried with hand cut fries. Wonder view!!! TVa for the sports fans. ”
“ Cash only, but they do accept many payment options, which is super convenient. I paid with Venmo, and it worked out great! What I ordered: Lobster roll: Generous portion of lobster with a perfect lobster-to-bun ratio, served cold. I would've preferred a bit more salt :) Clam chowder: Creamy, flavorful, and packed with clams. It was really good ”
“ During my last trip to MA I tried out Belle Isle and had such a good meal I had to come back this second trip with company. We ordered a cup of clam chowder, a lobster roll with onion rings as well as a side order of fresh fried haddock. The cup of chowder tasted nice but it was a bit thin and just above room temperature upon receiving, not ideal. As for the lobster roll, this thing was packed with fresh lobster salad and lettuce in a chargrilled split-top roll. I found the chargrilled roll interesting as I'm used to the traditional buttered version, a welcome change though. The lobster itself was plentiful, fresh and slightly sweet, I think it could have been a bit saucier though. The onion rings were crispy and thin, but unfortunately quite bland. If they could season up their batter these would be incredible. Same story for the haddock, while the delicate white fish on the inside was juicy and fresh tasting, overall there was very little flavor. Both of these were remedied with some table salt and sauces, but I really think they should consider seasoning some of their food. We were seated by the water which made for a memorable meal and though we didn't see our waitress very often, she seemingly was always there right when we needed her. All in all, I did enjoy this meal and would come back again should I fancy visiting MA a third time. ”
“ We were craving some fried seafood like crazy and finally decided to try Belle Isle. It absolutely did not disappoint! We went around 7pm on a saturday and waited for about 30 minutes. The beautiful water and city views make the wait go by quickly! We started with some drinks and their prices are very reasonable for cocktails, beer, and wine. We ordered the fried scallops dinner and the crab cake dinner. The fishermans platters and lobster rolls that kept coming out looked so delicious while we waited. The wait for our food was quite long but it was so worth it. My friend scallops were big, crispy, and percect, and my fiance loved his crab cakes. I had so many scallops that I shared several during dinner AND took a few home too. The prices might seem high at first glance, but for fresh seafood and big portions you cannot go wrong. Dont listen to the haters, try Belle Isle!! ”
“ Best lobster roll honestly. The meat was super fresh and tasty, didn't need much else. Very pricey though. Worth it if you sit outside and watch the skyline and the landing planes. ”
